Your background
- Foundation: Practical software development experience beyond university coursework, e.g. via internships, working student, freelance work, open-source contributions, research, or personal projects
- Ownership: Comfortable taking responsibility for your code and the features you build
- AI Mindset: Effective practitioner of AI-assisted development, balancing rapid iteration through AI tools with disciplined engineering decision-making
- Stack: Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, .NET, and relational databases, or equivalent experience with comparable technologies
- Tooling: Familiar with modern development tools, workflows, and engineering practices
- Execution: Comfortable turning requirements into working, tested, and refined solutions
- Quality: Passion for clean, maintainable, and scalable software
- Collaboration: Team player who enjoys exchanging ideas, giving and receiving feedback, and building solutions together
- Communication: Able to explain technical concepts clearly and work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues

How you make an impact
- AI-Augmented Engineering: Leverage AI-powered development tools & workflows to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, testing, maintainability, and system architecture.
- Full-Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain modern web applications across frontend and backend systems.
- Frontend Engineering: Develop user-facing applications using React, TypeScript, and modern component-based architectures.
- Backend Engineering: Build and evolve backend services and APIs using .NET / C# in a distributed system-landscape
- Data Management: Work with relational databases, with a strong preference for PostgreSQL experience.
- Infrastructure & Reliability: Contribute to scalable, resilient, and highly available systems; experience with PostgreSQL clustering technologies (e.g., Patroni) and infrastructure set-ups are advantageous.
- Code Quality & Problem Solving: Analyze, debug, review, and improve both existing and AI-generated code to ensure reliability and performance.
- Ownership & Delivery: Take end-to-end responsibility for delivering and maintaining solutions, proactively identifying issues, asking effective questions, and driving work forward independently.
- Engineering Excellence: Apply clean code principles, automated testing practices, version control (Git), and modern software development workflows.
- Product Development: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into valuable product capabilities.
- Team Collaboration: Participate actively in logical, architectural and technical discussions, as well as knowledge sharing to support a high-performing engineering culture/ team.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing learning, experimentation, and process improvement within an experienced product-focused engineering organization.
